Coronation Street spoilers follow.
A new mystery story begins next week on Coronation Street as police suspect Lauren has been murdered by an unknown criminal.
Elsewhere, the fallout from Liam’s bullying continues and a big story begins for Leanne when she meets newcomer Rowan.
Here’s the full collection of 15 upcoming big moments.
1. Blood found in Lauren’s old apartment
Sean considers renting Lauren’s old flat after being kicked out by Eileen, but finds blood on the curtains. He tells Bobby, who decides to inform the police.
Bobby can’t help but share his suspicions about Roy’s recent behavior, including how he cleaned the apartment after Lauren disappeared. DS Swain decides this is worth investigating and questions Roy about his relationship with Lauren.
2. Daniel faces doubt
Max fears Daniel is hiding something about his relationship with Lauren and visits the police station to report it to DS Swain. He shares the theory that Daniel is the mysterious boyfriend Lauren mentioned before she disappeared.
Swain brings Daniel in for questioning and accuses him of tutoring Lauren in exchange for sex. When Swain brings up Daniel’s past dramas involving Summer and Nicky, he refuses to answer any further questions without a lawyer present.
Daniel later realizes the seriousness of the situation when Swain gives a radio interview and suggests that Lauren may have been murdered.
3. Roy was arrested
While Lauren’s mystery sparks speculation from internet sleuths, Roy becomes the target of online trolling. Carla and Nina encourage Roy to refrain from further public appeals for information about Lauren as it could make the situation worse.
DS Swain then steps in, arresting Roy on suspicion of Lauren’s murder. To make the situation worse, the video of the cafe boss’s arrest was posted online.
4. Yasmeen and Stu have another mishap
Yasmeen and Stu decide not to inform Eliza about her father’s return to town. They plan to put the £10,000 bribe money Dom returned into trust for Eliza’s future.
The plan backfires when Eliza finds the envelope of money and a note from Dom in Stu’s jacket pocket that says “I’m sorry to disappoint Eliza.” It’s a difficult time for Stu, as he’s sure Eliza will demand an explanation.
5. Eliza tracks down Dom
Eliza joins forces with Hope and Sam to track down Dom, and they find him at the Chariot Square Hotel.
The schoolgirl then brings Dom back to Speed Daal, where he swears that he doesn’t want to lose his father again and wants to live with him in Germany.
6. Stu makes a selfless decision
Stu realizes he’s taken the wrong approach towards Eliza and suggests she spend two weeks with Dom in Germany over Easter.
Stu promises that this could be considered a trial run before a potential permanent move.
7. Eileen takes the pressure off Sean and Dylan
Sean steps up his search for a new place to rent when Eileen asks him and Dylan to leave after the missing knife is found.
Eileen appears to regret her attitude when she reassures Sean that there is no need to rush to move if he can’t find anything.
8. Mason’s fate revealed
Maria and Gary agree that Liam will be homeschooled for the foreseeable future after his bullying.
The couple are visited by the police, who confirm that Mason has been charged with threatening Liam with a knife and will likely face prison time as this is not his first offence.
9. Simon gets support
Simon is preparing for his hearing at the magistrates’ court after his recent drink driving offence.
Sam, who was involved in Simon’s accident, graciously agrees to provide a character reference in his favor.
10. Nick disappoints Leanne
On the day of Simon’s trial, Leanne focuses on supporting her son.
Nick insists he is too busy to attend, which disheartens Simon and irritates Leanne. Will Nick continue this attitude or change his priorities?
11. Leanne meets a pushy newcomer
Leanne takes Simon to a self-improvement event at the Chariot Square Hotel, organized by a group called The Institute.
When Institute mentor Rowan approaches and starts harassing her, Leanne gets some advice of her own. Although Leanne is initially unsure, she finds herself warming to Rowan, who encourages her to share how she feels.
12. Damon lies to Sarah
Damon and Sarah continue house hunting together. However, Damon hides the fact that Harvey pressured him to do something criminal.
Damon agrees to cooperate with Harvey, but warns his brother that he wants a share of the profits. He then reassures Sarah that they can afford a dream home by keeping quiet about where the money will come from.
13. Tracy forces Amy to get to know Tommy
Tracy tricks Amy by arranging lunch at the Bistro, and then gets the surprise that Tommy will join them.
Tracy says it’s time for Amy and Tommy to get to know each other, so an unimpressed Amy makes the most of the opportunity by ordering the most expensive champagne on the drinks menu.
14. Steve is disappointed
Steve looks forward to spending time with Amy when they agree to watch a movie together.
Toyah tells Steve that Amy had lunch with Tracy and Tommy earlier in the week and it went well. When Steve becomes visibly upset, he realizes that he must remain silent.
15. Gemma opposes Linda’s plans for Joseph
Linda suggests that Joseph’s education would benefit if he started attending Oakhill private school. She even offers to pay the fee.
Gemma is unhappy with Linda’s interference and orders Chesney to tell her to back off. Dee-Dee and Paul think Gemma shouldn’t have deprived Joseph of private education just because of his fight with Linda, but will Linda listen to their advice?
