Emmerdale teenager Angelica King was sentenced to eight months in Safe Children’s Home next month for her role in Heath’s death.

Although this is on the shorter end of possible sentences, Angelica’s loved ones are struggling as she is sent to Bristol, limiting their opportunities to visit her.

Nicola Wheeler, who plays Angelica’s mother, Nicola King, recently spoke about how Angelica’s sentence will affect the family in the long run.

He said: “At first it feels like a lifetime. But as the story progresses, [Nicola and Jimmy] They realize they’re being ridiculous because it’s only eight months. But when you’re not around your daughter and can’t go and visit her every day, isn’t it hell?

“Bob extending the olive branch is also a relief, and that feeling of relief leads them down a different path.”

Of the inevitable drama that will ensue when Angelica is released in a few months’ time, Nicola added: “Looking forward, I can only say: ‘What will happen?’ Because what will Angel be like when he leaves here? That’s the real question, isn’t it? For eight months of his life, Nicola and Jimmy have no control or influence over him.
