Beauty Pie has amassed a legion of loyal and dedicated fans since its launch in 2017, and in the process has successfully revolutionized the beauty industry by offering a subscription service to luxury products at unbeatable prices.

SHOP ALL BEAUTY PIECES

One of the most common beliefs about beauty is that quality is determined by price. “You get what you pay for. Pay cheaply; pay twice.” Whatever your thoughts on this philosophy, Beauty Pie is living proof that this is not always the case. You will have definitely heard this; after all, it’s one of the most groundbreaking brands to enter the beauty space in the last 10 years (at least).

But if you haven’t tried Beauty Pie yet and are wondering whether to invest in a membership, or if you’ve just signed up but aren’t sure which hero to buy and add to your cart, then check out our beauty team’s expert list. The best Beauty Pie products and everything you need to know about the brand.

What is Beauty Cake?

Think of Beauty Pie as a luxury beauty subscription club. The brand is the brainchild of Marcia Kilgore, the entrepreneur behind iconic brands like Soap & Glory and Bliss.

Sign up to become a member; It gives you access to luxury cosmetics at factory prices, eliminating excess packaging, marketing and price markups from retailer middlemen. But the one thing they don’t cut is quality. These products are formulated by some excellent dermatologists and created in excellent laboratories. Simply put, Beauty Pie gives customers the chance to purchase luxury beauty products at cost price.

If there is a product that you like the look of but do not want to subscribe to, you can also purchase the products at ‘regular price’. But it’s hard to justify this when you see prices stacked against each other. For example: the excellent Super Healthy Skin Body Cream is £15.50 for members, but quality and price increases mean the typical price for this product is £60.

How does Beauty Cake work?

First of all, you need to sign up for membership; Beauty Pie only profits from its members’ subscriptions.

There are two membership options. The first is an annual subscription at £4.95 per month or a monthly subscription at £10 per month. You can cancel at any time by filling out the cancellation form.

You can also sign up for a 30-day free trial to see if you like the site and products.

Unlike the previous tiered membership system, there’s no longer a limit on how often you can shop or how much you can buy, so you can stock up as much as you want.

Beauty Pie Youthbomb Serum review

Member price: £44

Non-member price: £185

Now. The fact that a brand’s most expensive product is also its best seller says something, right? When Red’s Senior Beauty Editor Alexandra Friend first tried this product, she immediately knew why. This serum is a workhorse if there ever was one. In short, it’s packed with ingredients that plump skin and restore vitality and radiance (think ceramides, peptides, moisturizers). There’s no such thing as a miracle cure, but everyone we know who’s used it said their skin looked and felt better overnight. Alexandra is using bottle number 3 and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin review

Non-member price: £50

If everyone felt this dreamy, applying SPF every morning would feel like a treat. It has a light, lotiony texture that is easily absorbed. The best part? It gives extremely good results under make-up, even when you apply a generous amount. No pilling or rolling in sight: just an extremely comfortable, satiny finish that leaves skin soft and elegantly radiant.

Beauty Pie Wonderfilter review

Member price: £14

Non-member price: £30

Some setting sprays leave an uncomfortable, puckered feeling on the skin. Instead, this looks more like a skincare-style facial spray, and it’s packed with ingredients that suggest it is one (think niacinamide and aloe vera). But it acts like a setting spray: a few sprays soften shine and lock makeup in place, helping it look fresher for longer. A smart buy for summer.

Beauty Paste Super Retinol review

Member fee: £15

Non-member price: £75

You’ll need retinol to soften fine lines around the eyes. A surprising amount of eye creams won’t have this. Beauty Pie’s offering is as effective as you’d expect: yes, there’s retinol here (but in a slow-release form designed to be gentle on the eye area), and there’s hyaluronic acid and plant extracts to counteract any potential irritation. It’s thoughtful, it works hard, and it slowly but steadily makes a difference in making the eye area look fresher and brighter.

Beauty Pie Super Radiant Skin Glow Filter review

Member fee: £20

Non-member price: £50

It’s hard to please Red’s beauty team when it comes to foundations and primers. But we’re in love with Beauty Pie’s latest offering: a nude shade that feels more skincare than makeup. There’s just a hint of coverage here, which is enough to create a veil of color and hide minor redness or blemishes. The finish is shimmery (not shiny) and wears beautifully throughout the day as it blends into the skin. We like that it’s best applied with fingers, gliding it over the skin and pushing it in for an imperceptible result.

Beauty Pie Triple Hyaluronic Acid review

Member price: £24

Non-member price: £90

You’d be surprised how difficult it can be to get hyaluronic acid right. In too many formulas, the ingredient can feel sticky, acrid, or drying and remain tacky under makeup. Forget that: Beauty Pie’s serum is a masterclass in this regard. Here are three weights of hyaluronic acid for broad penetration and hydration, as well as line-smoothing peptides and ceramides to nourish the skin barrier. The texture is also excellent: gel-like and fast-absorbing, without even a sticky feeling. Beauty Pie frequently cuts and changes product inventory, but we don’t foresee this going anywhere.

Beauty Pie AcidEnzyme review

Member price: £28.50

Non-member price: £60

It’s normal to be skeptical about a cleanser that claims to be suitable for both face and body; So were we. This is a product that contains salicylic acid and enzymes that act like a Pac-Man duo to erode areas of congestion and truly smooth the skin. It’s great to really get rid of any post-workout sweat and smooth out any areas of Keratosis Pilaris or KP (little red bumps that most of us have) on the upper extremities. Because it only lathers lightly, it is gentle enough to be used on the face, especially in the T-zone or areas prone to blemishes. Expect clearer, softer skin.

Beauty Pie Superluminous review

Member fee: £12

Non-member price: £25

Dark circles and discoloration around the eyes are best addressed with careful color correction. These creamy coverage neutralize dark areas in the inner corners of the eyes and are best applied under your favorite concealer for full coverage. Best worn under concealer, their texture is soft and moisturizing, melting into the skin with the warmth of your fingers. These provide instant lift and shine and are the perfect way to get more hours of rest.

Beauty Pie Shinkai Electrolyte Drench review

Member price: £34

Non-member price: £100

Hydration always makes skin look better, so we can’t get enough of this moisturizer that lends it in buckets. The gel texture is so lightweight that it practically melts into the skin before you have a chance to rub it in, leaving just a beautiful, natural glow behind. All skin types will benefit from this, but oily types will especially enjoy the fresh feeling this gives.

Beauty Cake Velvet review

Member fee: £12

Non-member price: £20

These cushiony lip crayons are a masterclass in matte: soft, plush, and not at all drying. These are very easy to smudge on the lips to get an opaque color and can be built up without feeling dry. If your lips tend to lean towards the drier side, apply a lip balm beforehand for maximum comfort; But we think you will be surprised by the creamy texture of this matte texture.

Beauty Cake Clean Home Candle review

Member fee: £60

Non-member price: £20

Our beauty writer Phoebe Lee covets almost every candle she finds; so there are a few he’s burned in pursuit of his favorite over the years. The reflection of this scent is what started Beauty Pie’s love for candle treats. When illuminated, it reaches almost every corner of the room and smells wonderful even when not illuminated. The scent is fresh, comforting and familiar; He stocks every order he places.
