Paul is in trouble when his father Denny comes to the Cobbles next week. Paul participates in a radio interview with Amy discussing motor neurone disease and society’s disregard for disability. However, as he becomes passionate, he unintentionally uses profanity.

Later in the week, Paul, Billy and Gemma are stunned by the overwhelming support for MND crowdfunders. Bernie is surprised when he is approached by a man who heard Paul’s voice on the radio, unaware of his son’s condition.

When Paul returns to the apartment, he has a coughing fit and has trouble breathing. He calls an ambulance but puts the phone down when they pass. When Denny returns, he finds Paul barely conscious and shocks him. Will Paul make it?

Meanwhile, Bernie’s secretive behavior continues, leaving Dev perplexed as he nervously rummages through an old shoebox full of letters and photographs: What is Bernie looking for, and what is he hiding from his children?
