Katie Price’s scars from £10,000 facelift ‘upset holidaymakers at luxury Turkish resort’

Katie Price has landed herself in hot water after allegedly upsetting holidaymakers at a luxury resort in Turkey.

The former fashion model, who is recovering from her sixth facelift, is said to have sparked a heated debate after scars from her recent plastic surgery leaked into the pool at the Sheraton Istanbul Ataköy Hotel.

The 46-year-old actress, who spent last week under the Turkish sun, did not go unnoticed with her post-surgery appearance.

Price’s face was reportedly left heavily bandaged and swollen after her £10,000 facelift.

Holidaymakers took to TripAdvisor to voice their concerns, criticising the hotel for allowing someone in such a condition to use the pool.

One guest noted that while the resort itself was “wonderful,” it was unfortunate that “they let just anyone stay there.” They described seeing Price walking around the hotel with a “crying” face and hair held together with “staples,” adding that her appearance was not only disturbing but also unsanitary.

The controversy comes after a turbulent week for Price, who was caught at London’s Heathrow Airport on Thursday evening after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was returning home from Turkey and is due to appear in court on Friday.

The holidaymaker wrote on the review platform on August 4: “We are here now and couldn’t find any fault with this wonderful hotel until a famous British ‘celebrity’ and his entourage arrived and our opinion changed dramatically.

“Who would want to relax and eat at a hotel while looking at someone with blood on their face, a scalp held together with staples and pus oozing from cuts? Oh, and they used the swimming pool too…”

The tourist, who left only two stars, added: “I’m not sure this hotel should be used as a recovery facility for plastic surgery. It would certainly put me off both visiting again and recommending it to others.”

Hotel owner Cem Yalçın responded diplomatically to the feedback: “Thank you for taking the time to share your experience while staying with us. Your stay was below our standards.

“Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations.

“I have shared your feedback with the entire leadership team to ensure that the necessary guidelines are in place and reviewed to prevent future occurrences.

“I hope you choose to stay with us again when you come back to this area during your travels.”

The report comes after Price was released on bail just hours after being arrested at Heathrow Airport.

The PA news agency reported that the television personality was released on bail by an out-of-hours judge on Thursday evening.

It came after a judge issued an arrest warrant for him after he failed to attend a hearing regarding his bankruptcy.

Price had previously said he was “not running away from issues” but had been “working on a documentary about corrective surgery” during the court hearing.

In a now-deleted statement on Instagram, Price wrote: “I am aware that I will be detained at the airport and that is clearly what the courts have deemed necessary.

“Of course I hope that for my sons who are with me, they will at least provide some dignity and protection for his sake, because it will be extremely disturbing for him to see this situation.

“I am aware of the importance and seriousness of the matter, but I feel like I am being treated like a criminal.”

Price declared bankruptcy in November 2019 and again in March of this year.

At a hearing in February, Price was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from adult entertainment site OnlyFans to the trustee for the next three years in connection with her first bankruptcy.

Then in March, he was declared bankrupt for a second time, owing more than £750,000 in unpaid taxes to the UK Revenue and Customs.

Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton said Price had received “very clear warnings” that he must attend the hearing on July 30.

Price was expected to face questions about his finances at a specialist insolvency court in London from lawyers representing the trustees of his two bankruptcies.

At a previous hearing, a judge said the former top model risked arrest if she did not attend the next hearings, and that evidence would need to be provided if she did not attend.

However, reports were heard in court that Price had gone to Turkey.

Issuing the arrest warrant, Judge Burton said Price was unable to explain why he did not attend the court hearing.

Judge Burton added that the warrant was not issued “lightly” but that Price had only offered “piecemeal cooperation” and had not provided “the most basic information” about his bankruptcies.
