Morrisons, Tesco and Aldi, Amazon and Blacks customers issued safety warnings for these products in latest product recalls

Some products sold online and in popular high street stores were recalled this week following concerns they could pose health and safety risks.

The products include a range of buoyancy aids and life jackets sold on Amazon, as well as food items from Aldi, Morrisons and Tesco listed as ‘unsafe to eat’, including chicken kebabs and chocolate biscuits.

There are also a number of stoves sold at stores such as Go Outdoors and Millets, as well as a set of ladders sold through Amazon that have been recalled in the last seven days.

Product recalls are issued by merchants about products that may affect the safety of those who use them. Anyone who purchased any of the affected products can request a full refund by returning the product to the place of purchase.

We’ve listed some of this week’s recalls below; We’ve given you the reasons for each issue and what you need to do to get a refund.

Tesco – Tesco Nutty Nougat Caramel and Dreamy Caramel Multipack Chocolate Bars

The Food Standards Agency has issued a notice that Tesco is recalling certain Tesco Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bars and Tesco Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bar Multipacks.

They are being recalled because they contain peanuts, which are not listed on the label and pose a potential health risk to anyone with a peanut allergy.

Affected products are a 6 x 40g Tesco Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bar Multipack with an expiration date of 28 February 2025 and a 6 x 40g Tesco Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bar Multipack with an expiry date of 31 January 2025 or 28 February. 2025.

Aldi has recalled a batch of its Ashfields Grill 4 Garlic and Herb Chicken Kebabs due to a labeling error that showed the wrong best before date, making the product unsafe to eat.

The recall affects 320 gram packages with an expiration date of July 09, 2024. This date is incorrect and should be 09 June 2024 instead.

Morrisons – Wafer Thin Cooked Chicken

Morrisons has recalled some of its thinly cooked chicken because it may contain small pieces of metal, making it unsafe to eat.

All 400g packs will be affected with an expiration date of up to and including 16 June 2024.

Return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Amazon – Rikade Telescopic Ladders

Rikade brand unpainted and black telescopic ladders sold on Amazon were recalled due to the risk of serious injury. Safety features designed to protect hands during ladder collapse may fail during use and may not support a sufficient load before failing and collapsing. This means the user may fall from a height.

Ladders over 3 meters in size do not have stabilizers, which means they can become unstable during use and cause the user to fall.

Amazon – HiSEA Buoyancy Aid Size S

The Product Safety and Standards Office said the HiSEA product was assessed to pose a serious choking risk.

The Size S product was advertised as a life jacket but when purchased it was described as a buoyancy aid and therefore did not provide the same level of protection. Additionally, the jacket did not meet the minimum buoyancy requirement.

The ASIN code of the affected product is B09YRPD6TP. The listing was later removed by Amazon, but if you purchased it, contact customer service support.

Go Outdoors, Go Outdoors Express, Blacks, Millets, Fishing Republic and Ultimate Outdoors – OEX Folding Gas Ranges

Two styles of OEX brand folding gas stoves, both on sale since January 2023, have been recalled.

It was determined that OEX’s Folding Novo Stove and Folding Savo Stove were at risk of fire, explosion and burns. It has been determined that the gas hose in the products may deteriorate over time, causing gas leakage and possible ignition of the hose.

Owners should immediately stop using the affected stoves and return them to the place of purchase.

Similarly, two models of Vango branded hose folding gas stoves were recalled for the same reasons.

The Folding Gas Stove ACXSTOVE DAKZ36 and the Folding Gas Stove ACXSTOVE DEWZ36 with Front Glass and Piezo, which have been on sale since September 2022, are also known to pose a risk of fire, explosion and burns due to the hose possibly deteriorating over time and causing gas leakage. possible hose ignition.
