Why do I need this? 🤔

We all need more time in our day, right? Roomba Vac Essential takes care of tedious vacuuming so you can do more of the things you really want to do: Lie back with your feet up.

Indeed, it has a three-stage cleaning system that is effective at picking up debris from almost any surface. It starts with a rotating, edge-sweeping brush that pulls in dirt from around Robovac; The V-shaped brush in the middle shakes off dirt stuck to hardwood and loosens dust from carpets.

We touched on this a bit earlier, but it also cleans in neat rows: up, up, down, repeat. It also has sensors to prevent hitting furniture or rolling down stairs. The new design also allows it to fit under furniture that previous robovacs couldn’t reach, and the edge sweeping brush allows it to fit next to tight spots like walls or the edge of a bed.

The downside is of course the lack of a self-draining base, but it can retain a significant amount of dirt before you intervene. You can also tell it to target specific areas and it can clean individual locations for up to two minutes at a time.

When it is finished cleaning, the robovac will return to the dock on its own. It also returns when its battery is low, but continues where it left off after charging.

Other reviewers have spoken at length about how efficient the Roomba is. “I don’t have to hurt my back bending over anymore. It’s worth it,” a second fan said. “My floors are clean and I don’t have to work or lift a finger.”

It’s not exactly silent, as you’d expect from a vacuum. “It’s a little noisy, but it cleans well,” said one customer; this was a disadvantage also noted by many reviewers.

And if there is another major drawback, it is the maintenance this machine requires. “The only downside is that you’ll need to clean the Roomba about once a month, depending on how often you use it. It’s important to remove and clean some parts and clean its sensors. I clean it once a year. After running it three times a week for a month.”
