Special to Jarrod Bowen
17:12 , Marc Mayo
Jarrod Bowen has urged West Ham fans to create another special European night atmosphere at the London Stadium this evening.
“We’ve been here before,” Bowen said Standard Sport. “I’m thinking about the Sevilla match [at the same stage in 2021-22] even the first leg matches were together; At home in Frankfurt, at home in Lyon and at AZ Alkmaar.
“When we get that atmosphere and the stadium is lively, it’s hard for any team to come here and beat us.
“We’re going to need another one of them, we’re 1-0 down and we’ve got a chance to get to the quarter-finals of a European tournament, so we’re definitely going to need everyone.
“We have to score the first goal. If we score the first goal, the fans will really think we can go on and score the next goal.”

17:07 , Marc Mayo
West Ham fans will need to make their voices heard much earlier than usual this evening as the match kicks off at 17.45 GMT.
This is due to the number of teams participating from the British market in this stage of the competition and the need to split the ties between broadcast slots.
Both West Ham and Rangers’ home ties against Benfica will kick off at 17.45 GMT, with Brighton and Liverpool’s games scheduled for 20.00.

David Moyes calls Sevilla again
16:06 , Marc Mayo
David Moyes hopes to bring his West Ham players together to repeat history tonight.
The Hammers knocked out Sevilla in similar circumstances in the 2021-22 season; Soucek had leveled the aggregate score in the first half before Andriy Yarmolenko scored the winner in extra time.
“It’s going to be hard, but we’ve done this before and we have to do it one way or another,” he said.
“Our focus is solely on how we win and the performance we need to put in to achieve that.
“The biggest memory of a similar situation was against Sevilla, who won the cup many times. We overcame this challenge, but Freiburg is a good team.
“It’s important because to achieve this we need to win and we will do our best to do that.”
